This year MCC Nepal celebrates its 10th anniversary! While MCC has sent workers to Nepal for 63 years – most of whom were seconded to organizations like UMN and INF – over time we began supporting and providing capacity support to specific partners. In 2009 we became independently registered here in Nepal and began direct program work.
On July 26, friends of MCC Nepal gathered together to celebrate the excellent contributions of our team and partners over the last decade! As MCC prepares to celebrate its Centennial in 2020 – recognizing 100 years of service globally – this event was an opportunity to recall MCC’s long history in Nepal and recognize specific accomplishments since 2009.

The celebration included presentations from each of our partners, two of our past IVEP and YAMEN participants, MCC Nepal’s Country Representative, the Executive Director of UMN who shared about our long history of partnership, and surprise video messages from past Country Representatives. We ended with a special recognition of MCC’s partners and staff.

Following the program, guests enjoyed a gallery of photos from throughout MCC’s history of serving in Nepal, along with dinner together.
It is with a deep sense of gratitude to our team, partners and supporters that we celebrate a decade of serving with compassion and love – particularly for those who are most marginalized – here in Nepal.
